Building Better Mental Health

14 November, 2019 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The demands of life have an impact our bodies and our minds that we’re not always aware of.  Some people, though, seem more able to bounce back from challenges than others.  What’s their secret?

In this seminar we will explore how to understand stress, our response to it, and how to grow in resilience. Specifically, we will look at the impact of chronic stress, how to understand resilience and finally, how to make use of spiritual, physical, intellectual, relational and emotional resources that build resilience and wellbeing.

Keynote speakers are Dr Keith and Mrs Sarah Condie, Co-Directors of Mental Health and Pastoral Care Institute www.mentalhealthinstitute.org.au along with panel of local professionals including Dr Mark Melek (The Village Practice), Jane Thomas (Psychologist & Senior Counsellor Anglicare) and Dr Rebecca Sng (Primary Mental Health Manager at Grand Pacific Mental Health)

Brought to you by Austinmer and Thirroul Anglican Church
Supported by Anglicare and The Village Practice Woonona
